Quote of the Day (13/02/09)
“If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur.”
“If the English language made any sense, lackadaisical would have something to do with a shortage of flowers.”

No real reason for posting these, except that they amused me. And what with it being Friday the 13th, I need cheering up. (I’m not usually superstitious in the slightest, but I have had a few things go wrong today, more than usual.)

I think I get the cami-knickers one (my paternal grandparents always used Camay and the scent reminds me of their house), but the semi-colon has me baffled… Maybe it’s a west-of-Ireland thing?

It’s just kind of ‘coal-on’ (the fire)
so semi (coal-on) might be a small fire.
I know, I know… sorry.

I laughed at those–they’re gorgeous! I hope you survived Friday the 13th without incident, and wish you two a wonderful Valentine’s weekend together, warm and happy.
